Carol was an English teacher and a school guidance counselor at the secondary level in Boston.  She has worked with diverse school populations, and been involved with programs including theatre arts, school to work internships, and a support and enrichment program for first generation college bound students. She has supervised graduate students in English and school counseling with programs at UMASS Amherst, Northeastern, and Suffolk University. Carol has participated in teacher-to-teacher delegations to South Africa, Cuba, and China. Now retired, Carol is involved in a community adult literacy program, and Citizens for Public Schools and other groups which advocate for public education.
